SYMPOSIUM ON IPV, REPRODUCTIVE COERCION, AND UNINTENDED PREGNANCIES

Symposium on Intimate Partner Violence, Reproductive Coercion, and Unintended Pregnancies

Friday, June 2, 2017 | 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. | UCI Medical Center.

Thank you to all attendees and speakers for joining us at the Symposium!

Special thanks to the UCI Initiative to End Family Violence for its generous sponsorship.

The Orange County Women's Health Project and UCI School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology co-hosted this event and brought together 80+ local health care and social service providers from both sectors to learn and collaborate around intimate partner violence (IPV), reproductive coercion, unintended pregnancies, and family planning.  Presentations focused on screening and IPV, reproductive coercion, and birth control sabotage in a health care setting, and how to better support and link IPV survivors to local resources.  Attendees ended the day with a discussion on how to strengthen the relationship between the family planning and IPV sectors in Orange County.

Stay tuned for copies of Symposium materials, additional opportunities to engage, and next steps following the event!
