The Orange County Women's Health Project co-leads three Task Forces to address priority health issues facing local women and develop policy recommendations for each of the following issues:

Co-lead agencies are Susan G. Komen Orange County and YWCA of North Orange County
(Founding co-lead was CSU Fullerton Health Promotion Research Institute)
  • The Breast & Cervical Cancer Task Force is working to ensure that low income women under 40 can access diagnostic breast cancer services, promote early detection, and promote uptake of the HPV Vaccine to prevent most forms of cervical cancer.
Health & Domestic Violence Task Force
Co-lead agencies are Human Options, Interval House, Laura's House, and Women's Transitional Living Center
  • The Health & Domestic Violence Task Force is implementing a four-year plan to establish a county-wide, collaborative, and integrated Health & Domestic Violence System in Orange County.
Teen Reproductive Health Task Force
Co-lead agency is Planned Parenthood of Orange & San Bernardino Counties
  • The Teen Reproductive Health Task Force is working to address the high Teen Birth Rates in certain communities, reduce the rate of Chlamydia and other STIs in Orange County, and support implementation of the California Healthy Youth Act in Orange County public schools.
