The OCWHP, in partnership with UC Irvine Initiative to End Family Violence, is pleased to offer four free, CME-eligible*, web-based training videos about domestic violence and health.

*CMEs will be offered at no cost through December 2025.

Training Module 1 — Intimate Partner Violence and Health:

  • Understand the cycle of domestic violence and its short-term and long-term impacts on health

  • Screen and counsel for domestic violence in the healthcare or social service setting in a culturally sensitive manner

  • Understand and explain the limits of confidentiality

  • Comply with mandatory reporting laws

  • Access domestic violence resources and make referrals in Orange County, CA

  • Document screening, counseling, and related health issues in the medical record in a manner that protects patient privacy

  • Potentially be reimbursed for time spent screening and counseling

Training Module 2 - Cultural Competency:

  • Understand and Address Domestic Violence in Diverse Populations

  • Serve the Latin American community

  • Serve South Asian patients

  • Serve Asian Pacific Islander patients

Training Module 3 - Teen Dating Violence:
